MAZEPA: MALMESBURY
In the town of Malmesbury, on 27.10.23, a presentation of Ukrainian theatrical art took place at St. Mary’s Church, featuring the historical one-person play “Mazepa”. Local residents, as well as the mayor himself, attended the event. In addition to promoting Ukrainian art, the aim of the event was to draw a parallel through the play between the modern Russian full-scale invasion and the events that took place more than 300 years ago on the territory of Ukraine, emphasizing that Russia’s aggressive policy has a long history and that hoping for peace from Russia is futile.
