DAY OF UKRAINIAN ONE MAN SHOWS

DAY OF UKRAINIAN ONE MAN SHOWS

In February 2024, together with the Theatre Royal Bath, the “Day of Ukrainian Art” was organised, where visitors could experience a powerful art installation, as well as hear both traditional and contemporary Ukrainian songs.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of two one-person performances by the Travelling Mono-Theatre “KUT”:

A children’s performance “I AM A CLOWN!“
The historical monodrama “MAZEPA“.

The performances were attended by both Ukrainian and British audiences, who witnessed professional acting, theatrical scenography, sound and lighting design.

The event was marked not only as an ordinary artistic event, but as a powerful cultural bridge between Ukraine and Britain. Taking place one day after the anniversary of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, the event aimed to clearly remind people of the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian nation in its struggle against Russia.

The performance “Mazepa” emphasised and made the audience understand that Ukraine’s struggle for independence has a very long history, and that the ancestors of Russians committed the same horrific crimes against the Ukrainian population that they continue to commit to this day.
